Do I need to have padding on my laminate flooring if it is over old laminate?

You're going to want to tear out that old laminate floor first.

i agree. Not a good practice to float a floor over a floating floor. You should remove the old

your height will be to high for where ever it meets other flooring in your house.You maybe able to salvage your old underpad when you tear out your old floor

my thoughts are whenever possible remove any old flooring. It just traps dead air and whatever else

yes ,i like to tear out everything above my substrait,weather it be vinyl ,lino,and more.A clean surface is always best. I have seen up to 4 layers hidden ,somebody was to lazy to tear out previous layers.
