OK so when i first started laying flooring we used white vinegar too help clean up glue and any other muck or goo that was part of every install!!!!
today most laminates have cleaner that is made for the laminates type you're installing, but the white vinegar STILL works great with almost all flooring types soo start with the vinegar

you heard it here!!!! first ....

Wouldn't goo gone damage the finish of the floor? Or possibly eat away at the floor?

Goof off and Goo gone will not hurt most flooring its made as a cleaner that will get just about everything up with out hurting the surface the draw back too useing any of those cleaners is it will leave its own goo on some flooring

white vingar is relly only used for laminet flooring becouse of glue base and the finish type it will work great !! Other things that will not dmg!! the finish use away,!!!!!
But make shere that the compeny makeing the flooring will not void the warranty becouse of useing somthing too clean up muck .
As an installer or a do it your selfer it relly sucks if you void that warranty right before finding out your flooring is junk<<<< NOT saying ANY flooring is going too be junk but it has happend Brick wall Brick wall

I agree. If you have warranty concerns you have to make sure your cleaner is acceptable to the manufacturer. When we install a gluedown engineered I find that a rag dampened with goo gone helps to clean up fresh glue. When the cutomer walks in and smells oranges instead of varsol I think they appreciate it

I've only seen it pull paint off my front door. That's the only thing I've seen get "damaged". But lets face it. It got the paint "goo" off and the door was fine. Dancing

we used to use colorfill laminate touchup kits. Those came with a small bottle of solvent cleaner that smelled much like acetone. Used in moderation that didnt hurt any laminate floors. You better make sure though cause its pretty strong stuff

Check with what the manufacture of the product recomends, vinager is great but if it damages the product for any reason they will void your warranty.Manufactures will use any excuse to blame consumer for their mistakes.Always have to play buy their rules to be safe.
