Greetings Nauntilus, welcome to the forum!

If you're really concerned about being "green", the products you should keep your eye out for are the ones marked with a high content of recycled materials and/or fast growing natural fibers (ex. pine, flax, or bamboo). Greenflooring.com has a rating system for how green a product is, and they have a catalog of green floors available.
