What are the benefits of Hardwood Flooring over Laminate Flooring?

I'm putting in about 500 sqft of laminate flooring in my basement, but I love real hardwood floors.

Are there any good advantages to having hardwood floors over laminate? Laminate is definitely cheaper...

you should not install hardwood below grade. Too much moisture in basement areas. They will void your warranty

So when you say "grade" you mean ground level?

yes. Sometimes they will allow a walkout basement, but most will void and run at the first opportunity. (walkout means the basement is at ground level at the back or front)
